Ten years after the landmark legalization of recreational cannabis in Washington state, we embarked on a mission to uncover the collective sentiments and aspirations of the cannabis industry. Recognizing widespread discontent among workers, consumers, and small business owners, we conducted a comprehensive industry survey. From online platforms to face-to-face engagements with workers, consumers and other industry stakeholders, we sought insights on the transformation required in the Washington Cannabis landscape. Amplifying the voices of the cannabis community, we distilled their feedback into a resonant message: change is imminent. This culmination led to the creation of a bold vision encompassing 20 pivotal rights aimed at elevating the industry for all - from workers to consumers to owners and, from seed to sale to releasing prisoners from jail. The resounding consensus within the Cannabis Community underscores a unified call to action. Let's unite, ignite change, and pave the path towards a vibrant and equitable future for all of us.
